What can I do to sleep my baby safely?

I work in the room with infants and toddlers between the ages of 0 and 16 months. Few of our children aged 10 months and older preferred to sleep in the bed as opposed to a cot. The parents are informed of this and instructed to consider the comfort and requirements of their children. Is it acceptable to put this age group of children—who are physically capable of crawling and moving about their environment with more assurance and fundamental physical abilities following safe bed sleeping environment guidelines—to bed?

My 4 month old has been rolling from back to belly for about a month now and he’s really good at it. He hasn’t quite mastered the belly to back but he can do it on the odd occasion. He’s recently taken a liking to sleeping on his belly. I place him on his back to sleep but no matter how many times I get up in the night to roll him he rolls onto his belly. Is it safe for him to be doing this? I feel like I spend half the night on edge and awake rolling him back over

I am after some advice on using a weighted blanket or weighted long toy dog over the legs/ body of a child who is under 12 months but over 7 months. They like to sleep on an adult so the weight of the blanket/toy helps them feel like the adult is still there. I understand that comforters are 'ok' for children over 7 months, but specifically a weighted one might be a worry due to restricting the movement of the child? I am eager to hear back. Thanks.

My 7 week old baby is quite a wriggler in his sleep, he is often against the side of the mesh in his bassinet when I wake to feed him and this morning he had gotten himself sideways across near the bottom of the bassinet. Currently in love to dream arms up suits. What do I need to do to ensure safe sleep, does he need his arms out incase he accidentally rolls?

My babies is 5 months old and is constantly rolling over to him tummy to sleep. I have getting up to rolling him back as he is not yet able to roll from tummy to back yet, but as soon as I roll him back he is straight back to his stomach. After a while he just wakes up upset and I have to resettle him. So my question is can he be left on his stomach or is what I’m doing correct.

Our new bassinet and mattress was exposed to smoke from a fire for a few minutes before being removed from the area. Is it still safe to use when the baby comes or do we need to replace it? Our baby is due in 2 months.

Good morning, I am enquiring about safe sleep transitioning in an early childhood education and care setting. we currently have a Nursery room for children aged between 6 week and 15 months. I have had a look at all of the resources on your website and am just enquiring about when it is safe to move a child from a cot to either a cot mattress on the floor or a low stretcher bed on the floor. our current practice involves first consulting with families around their preferences for their children and if they are comfortable we are then moving children onto the cot mattress or toddler stretcher bed on the floor once they are standing or walking. Is there a specific age you recommend they stay in a cot? or can you confirm that if they are 12 months of age and able to hold themself up they are safe to transition to a cot mattress on the floor or stretcher bed?

Asking on befalf of my 5 month old grandchild who likes to sleep on her tummy? Everytime she is put down on her back she rolls to her tummy? Smoke free environment with nothing in her cot. She sleeps in a sleeping sack and with a dummy. She can roll back to tummy but not reversed? How do I prevent her from sleeping face down? I could turn her everytime but she still rolls to her tummy. Any suggestions or do you think she will be ok?
