Hi, my son is 6 months old and is in a cot in my room. He is starting to wake up when my husband goes to work at 5am. Is it ok to move him into his own room now? We follow all safe sleep guidelines. Or is it better to wait until 12 months?

I have an almost 5 month old who has rolled tummy to back (hasn’t mastered back to tummy) since 3.5 months and lifts her head and chest quite easily. As of a few weeks ago she will no longer sleep on her back in her crib. If I put her on her tummy she sleeps very happily but due to the risk we are now cosleeping. Should I continue to cosleep or let her sleep on her tummy? I have tried for hours numerous nights to settle her on her back in her crib and can’t handle the lack of sleep sadly.

On your website it advises to be careful if a child is wearing a baby sleeping bag whilst sleeping outside of a cot (i.e. in a toddler bed) as a child wearing a baby sleeping bag and not confined to a cot is at a higher risk of falling and being injured. Is this risk eliminated if the child is wearing a baby sleeping bag that converts to one with legs?

For travelling with a 2-year-old, is there an inflatable toddler travel mattress/system that is recommended and/or recommendations of what to avoid when purchasing a travel mattress? We will be travelling for 6 weeks and won't always have access to a cot (even though our little person has pretty much transitioned to a bed but still moves quite a bit in the bed). I am concerned about falling out of bed and onto hard surfaces.

Hi On your website it says not to use any lamb wool in the cot. Is this only referring to those fluffy lamswool underlays? I was going to get pure wool mattress protectors so are they ok? Not fluffy at all

I would like to ask about rocking the cots. After putting the child into the cot, what is the best way to make a child sleep? Is it just leaving the child to sleep on his own? Maybe pat the child, but then we have to bend for a long time? Please provide suggestions.

what is the safest way to control the temperature in a Melbourne home at night, in summer, to a room that a baby sleeps, but does not have an immediate cooling or heating system in the room? Consider that a day in summer in Melbourne varies from 12 to 34 degrees usually. Any suggestions regarding the clothes and or covers ?

My 11 month old has recently starting sleeping face down with forehead against mattress. When I roll her over to her back she rolls straight back to the face down position. She sleeps in her own cot on firm mattress and is rolling/crawling/walking with assistance. Is it safe to let her sleep that way or should I keep rolling her on her back?

Is the location of a cot in a room important (besides being away from windows, blinds, heat sources etc)? The layout of the room means the cot is best located in a corner but I’m not sure if having two sides flush up against a wall is dangerous?
