Hi I am an educator. Just want to double check that can the toddler children's bed(mattress on the floor) elevated up on to their head up with cushion when they are coughing a lot during sleeping?

I have a 9 week old baby. He recently started sleeping longer stretches at night without a feed. I have been waking him up after 7 hours and once after 8.5. I am worried about how long it is ok to leave him. He sleeps in his own bassinet right next to me. He has never been one to wake me with crying for a feed but usually shouts out every couple seconds to wake me for a feed. He's a healthy baby and doctor is happy with his weight gain . He is exclusively breastfed. I have been pumping small amounts of milk in the night just for my own comfort, as I get very full with the long stretches of sleep. How long is it safe to let him sleep for?

I was wondering safety of weighted blankets for toddlers. I am aware that weight blankets are not recommended for babies but is it safe for toddlers to use from 3 or 4 years of age?

Is there a height limit for cots? My 2 year old is 90cms and still in a cot. Some Aus websites are suggesting it’s time for a bed at 89cms. Thanks!

My 5 month old can roll from back to tummy but not back again, and now likes to roll to sleep on his tummy in the cot. On occasion I have found him with his face down and had to flip him, im worried that I need to constantly watch him overnight now until he can roll back and/or consistently turn his head to the side??

Red Nose advises that you should move baby from a bassinet to a cot when they show signs of being able to roll. Why? If my bassinet has high sides made of taut, breathable mesh, will this suffice until baby is able to reach the top rim of the bassinet (i.e. until they can sit or stand)?

My baby started daycare and in the cot rooms they have a lamp with orange light on the entire time that babies try to sleep. My baby is a light sleeper and obviously she can´t sleep with lights on. They said that is for the safety of the children but if they have actual visibility of the cot rooms and they do the 10 minutes check ups, is it necessary to have that light on? In my opinion this practice violates the rights of children to adequate rest.

Thank you for all that you do. I have waited until my baby is 8 weeks old to co-sleep in a queen sized bed with myself only. I have followed your guide on safe sleeping. My baby is asleep on his back, but his head is titled into the side (from breast feeding) and when I move it back he wakes up. Can he be on his back with head on the side?
